Please join us this June as we present an uplifting program featuring William Averitt's Afro-American Fragments (Langston Hughes), an invigorating work for SATB choir, soprano soloist, and piano four-hands, stunning new a cappella arrangements of traditional African-American spirituals like, ‘My Lord, What a Morning,’ ’Then My Little Soul’s Gonna Shine,’ ‘Deep River,’ and ‘Wade in the Water,' by composer/pianist Stephen Coxe, a set of American songs in Shawn Kirchner's Heavenly Home, and Leonard Bernstein's glorious Almighty Father from 'Mass.' Entire program to be announced.
We will perform right alongside newly selected members of our youth outreach choir, the Church Circle Young Singers, made up of talented high school choral students from throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
We hope to see you in June for this exciting program!
